7. The Woman At the Well
In John chapter four, Jesus starts a revival by talking to a single Samaritan woman, despite the fact that at this time the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans. What was going on here? Join us as we see Jesus open the eyes of the Samaritan woman to see who He is and how God wants His people to worship Him. Then, Jesus shows His power and further proof of His Messiahship by healing the royal official's son who is at the point of death--even though Jesus is far away.
Moral Perversion -- sermon by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preached Feb. 23, 1964.
Like the woman at the well I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy;
And then I heard my Savior speaking,
Draw from My well that never shall run dry.
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting in my soul.
Bread of heaven, feed me til I want no more,
Fill my cup, fill my cup and make me whole.
